The woman’s husband was shot in the knee. He survived the incident and was taken to the hospital.The 73-year-old man was able to go to a neighbor’s home and ask for help.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the double shooting, but authorities say it appears the woman may have shot herself.
The couple lived on the first floor of Luther Manor, an independent living facility on Malibu Drive.
