News - Fed Fines Medina Nursing Home
Orchard Manor, 600 Bates Road, Medina, was cited for what are called civil money penalties based on what was found during a survey in November. Civil money penalties are given out by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The Long Term Care Community Coalition, a nonprofit nursing home advocacy group based in Manhattan, reported the fine in its quarterly newsletter The Monitor for summer 2007.
A representative from CMS could not be immediately reached for comment about what the fine is for. Orchard Manor administrator Thomas Morien could not be reached for comment.
